Since I was born, only three players have worn the number 61 for the Packers, and only Brett Goode has worn it for more than one season.
Goode has been a near-indispensable part of the Packers over most of the past decade. Along with kicker Mason Crosby, he's the only player to appear in every game the Packers have played over the past seven seasons, but most days he'll be on the fields for ten or fewer plays. Yet still he remains incredibly important, because he's the long snapper.
You probably know generally what a long-snapper does, but if you want to take a cool look at how it works, check out this awesome breakdown from the New York Times. Goode does all the jobs required of a long-snapper, and he does them very well. Misfires are rare when Goode is on the field, and there's every indication that he's going to be on-point for years to come.
